Treasurer's Office / Finance

The Village Treasurer, appointed by the Mayor and Board of Trustees, is the Chief Fiscal Officer for the village acting as financial steward to ensure the ethical and responsible safekeeping of village assets and integrity of the financial information required for effective decision making by the management and the governing body elected by the village residents.

The Village Treasurer is responsible for the collection, disbursement, investment, financing and accounting of all Village funds including capital project budgetary/financial management. The Village Treasurer works closely with the Village Manager in the preparation of the annual budget along with continuous budgetary control. The Village Treasurer oversees the Finance Department. The Finance Department's major functions are:

  • Employee Benefits
  • Revenue Collection
  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable

The Finance Department consists of a staff of 6 full-time employees.
