Each year, the Village of Port Chester submits its application for consideration as part of New York State's Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI).
New York State represents that the DRI transforms downtown neighborhoods into vibrant centers that offer a high quality of life and are magnets for redevelopment, business, job creation, and economic and housing diversity.
The DRI is led by the Department of State, in close partnership with Empire State Development, NYS Homes and Community Renewal and New York State Energy Research and Development Authority.
The potential award for a village like Port Chester, if selected, is $10 Million.

Port Chester will again submit its DRI application this month to NY State with hope to be named one of the 2022 Mid-Hudson benefactors of this grant. The village is interested in receiving some feedback about its downtown business district/ area from residents, property owners, and business owners via a new survey with revitalization in mind.

A public hearing will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022 (7 PM) as part of the Port Chester Village Board of Trustees regular meeting to present the draft submission and collect feedback and input from our residents and business owners.
