Breast Cancer Awareness Month
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and ever 3rd Friday of October (October 21st this year) is Breast Cancer Awareness Day. Each October, people all over the world show their support for everyone affected by breast cancer. The month kicks off a campaign for people to *Touch, *Look, and *Check for lumps, abnormalities, and other concerns that may alert people to the early signs of this cancer. Breast Cancer Awareness Month has also helped many women remember to schedule mammography appointments which can make the difference between beating, surviving, and succumbing to the deadly effects of this cancer.
At your convenience, please look at some of the helpful links and information provided below on breast cancer, breast cancer awareness, and what the National Cancer Society has done and continues to do to
raise funding towards research and treatment of this deadly cancer.
