On November 4th, Governor Hochul announced that the Village of Port Chester would receive $4,012,713 towards Phase 1 of its Downtown Sanitary Revitalization Project.
As total construction costs will total nearly $35 Million, water infrastructure grants through NYS' Environmental Facilities Committee can be reapplied for by the village for all subsequent phases. The village's award represents the state's threshold of 25% of net project costs estimated to be slightly higher than $16 Million.
