DPW DAY, Saturday May 27th!

DPW DAY

On Saturday May 27th, the Village of Port Chester will hold its first ever DPW Day!

Monday May 21st marks the beginning of National Public Works Week and the village is hoping that the residents of Port Chester will come out and meet the people who help keep our village clean, collect their sanitation, and work to maintain and improve our infrastructure and parks system.

Starting at 11AM on Saturday May 27th, the Department of Public Works located at 82 Fox Island Road will open to the public for local families to meet with and spend a few hours with the professional staff.

Residents and families will have the opportunity to see how some of the more complicated pieces of the department's apparatus operate and perform their duties daily. The village will also provide arts and crafts projects for children and other demonstrations. Local community committees will be on site as well to talk about what they do to help keep our village clean and research new ways to improve the local environment.

Food trucks will also be on hand for anyone looking to grab lunch or a refreshment while they inspect the village's fleet.

Come down to DPW on Saturday and meet the people who help keep our village clean!
