You may obtain a form either in person at Village Hall or download the form. Fill it out and return it to the Village Attorney’s office. The Village will forward the claim to its insurance company, the New York Municipal Insurance Reciprocal (NYMIR) who will handle the claim and make a decision.

No. The Village Attorney cannot represent persons in private legal matters. The Village Attorney only represents the Village Manager, Board of Trustees, Village departments and village boards and commissions in the course of his official duties.
The Village Attorney does not provide legal services to the general public. You may wish to contact the Westchester County Bar Association Lawyer Referral Service or Legal Aid Society of Westchester County or Legal Services of the Hudson Valley.
If you have a summons, you must appear in court on the date and time directed on the face of the ticket. The Village Prosecutor will be in court representing the Village.
